Publicity Flyer for Trips for 2012 -2013

DO SOMETHING CONCRETE FOR HAITI!!!!

Are you looking for a way to do something“concrete” in Haiti?  -  to know that your time or talent or money is assisting in an accomplishment you can point to and say, “Here is one way I have helped to make a few lives better”?
In 2011, our Partners, “The Haitian Baptist         Convention”        have, with the help of
Denominational Aid from around the world,
A/ built a school where they have:
1. an orphanage                              2. a day school
3. a sewing/tailoring class              4. a computer class
5. a class in tiling                             6. a center providing physical and occupational therapy for physically handicapped children.
AND  7. they are opening a school of nursing with a well qualified director – educated in Montreal.                                                                                                                        School started by WAYS in 2011 in PaP

B/ In the wake of our medical team’s work this last year they are developing
a healthcare initiative pilot program in 5 of the churches
They will each have a Parish Nurse who will follow parishioners with special health needs. We will help them provide low cost medication for those who would not otherwise have access (e.g., high blood pressure, diabetes)

C/ Now they want to build a chicken farm to provide protein for the orphanage…
Join us this October, 2012 in helping with the development of a chicken farm to help feed an orphanage - OR come and share pediatric therapy skills with physically handicapped children - OR offer a workshop for students in a school of nursing or teachers in the day school.

Join us next April, 2013 when we take our medical team to 5 different schools and churches in the Port au Prince area.

OR
Make your financial contribution to help us to purchase the materials needed for this amazing work.
AND
Pray for our travelers and for the Haitian Baptist Convention who is building schools and farms and helping people to rebuild lives.
